Brewhouse One Series Release – Allegro Non Troppo
We cannot wait to celebrate Earth Day with another beer brewed for our friends and neighbors. Allegro Non Troppo, our next Brewhouse One Series release, will be available exclusively at the Tours & Rec Center beginning at 10am on Sunday, April 22nd.
Allegro Non Troppo began life as the Belgian-style golden sour ale we brew to create Love Child blends. The base beer was aged in neutral wine barrels for an average length of 18 months with a mixed culture of lactobacillus and brettanomyces. Following this period of barrel-aging/fermentation, the sour Belgian-style golden ale was transferred onto 2,000 pounds of crushed Tempranillo grapes in a stainless aging tank to rest for five months. The resulting beer pours an electric magenta hue boasting rustic aromas of black currant. This magnificently complex sour ale features a bracing lactic acidity with notes of ripe blackberries, bright red raspberries and a touch of lemon.
Allegro Non Troppo will be available in 750ml bottles for $25 each, with a limit of two per transaction. Sales will take place in our first floor Experience Area, and fans who arrive prior to 10am should line up at the Tours & Rec Center front doors.
On April 22nd we will also be celebrating Earth Day, and we are very excited to partner with Kansas City Native Plant Initiative for this Brewhouse One Series release. $1 from each bottle sold will benefit Kansas City Native Plant Initiative, and our friends at KCNPI will be in house to discuss the important work they do. Kansas City Native Plant Initiative’s mission is to ignite a regenerative relationship between our native landscapes and heartland communities by acknowledging their beauty, increasing knowledge of how to expand their presence, and cultivating opportunities to work together.
Our Beer Hall will open at 10am as well, and we will feature a very limited amount of Allegro Non Troppo on draft. 5oz pours will be available for $5. Our Beer Hall will also feature other special tappings & a Spanish-inspired charcuterie board.
Please note, there will be NO Beer Hall Bingo on April 22nd.
