28th Anniversary Celebration with Odell Brewing – Charlie Hooper’s

November 17th marks Boulevard’s 28th anniversary. To celebrate, we’re having a party with our friends from Odell Brewing!

And why are we celebrating with Odell Brewing you might ask? On November 18, 1989, about 24 hours after John McDonald had loaded the first sold keg of Pale Ale into the back of his pickup truck, Doug Odell loaded a keg of Odell Golden Ale into the back of his pickup truck to sell. Throughout the last 28 years, John and Doug have shared a friendship, calling each other to check in on the other’s brewery, picking the other’s brain on a variety of business decisions, and enjoying a beer every now and again at industry events. The camaraderie continues with other brewery employees, making this a great annual date to raise a glass in celebration of iconic pioneers in craft beer.
