Boulevard Turns 26!
Happy birthday to us
Year after year
On November 17th, we’ll celebrate the 26th anniversary of John McDonald delivering the very first keg of Boulevard Pale Ale to Ponak’s Mexican Kitchen & Bar less than a mile down Southwest Boulevard. Every brewery employee who’s been lucky enough to be involved with the Boulevard story has tons of great beer memories, but we recognize that none of this would exist without the amazing support from fans of great beer.
Because you’ve all been such a huge part of our story, we’d like to feature your favorite Boulevard memories as we celebrate our 26th year of brewing great beer. Send us a story, photo, or quick video sharing your favorite memory involving our beer. We’ll pick our 26 favorites and share them on our website and social media feeds. As a thank you, we’ll reward our favorites with guaranteed tour spots (no need to wait in line!) and a Boulevard Hall Pass good for beers on us and a special guest discount in our gift shop.
To submit your memory, simply tag us between now and December 12th. Winners must be 21 years of age and no purchase is necessary to enter.

Our first winner comes from Twitter. Kevin, @BlvdKev80, has dedicated an entire room AND his right forearm to all things Kansas City and Boulevard. Congratulations, Kevin, and thank you for being a part of the Boulevard story!
November 18th
Our second winner in our anniversary memory celebration is Chris, @ChrisEarnshaw, from Twitter. Congratulations, Chris, and thank you for being a part of the Boulevard story!
November 19th
Bobby Clarke, @clarke_bobby on Instagram, is today’s favorite Boulevard memory. Bobby celebrated his 21st birthday at Boulevard and traces that day back to his love of craft beer. Congratulations, Bobby, and thank you for being a part of the Boulevard story!

Kelsey Leftwich-Yazell shared this beautiful photo from her wedding night that featured Boulevard beer.
“My memory with Boulevard: for our wedding, my husband and I tried to be frugal and save money where we could ($90 wedding dress, no flowers, no matching dresses) but skimping on the bar was not an option. What kind of celebration would it be without a hometown brew? Thanks for always being there for every big event, Boulevard!”
We’re amazingly honored to have been a part of your special night and thank you for being a part of the Boulevard story!
November 21st
Like a lot of us in Kansas City, Ty from Twitter was overcome with baseball fever this fall. We salute his dedication to celebrating (and showering) with great beer.
November 22nd
This memory likely wasn’t intended to be a team submission, but we laughed so hard, we had to select both Lauren and Ian Freudenburg as winners. Congratulations and we hope you’re not still in trouble, Ian.
