More than 55 years ago, Kansas City hosted a meeting of 39 national LGBTQIA+ civil rights leaders to plan strategies and develop collaborations. This pivotal meeting signified the first step in forming a national organization dedicated to LGBTQIA+ advocacy.
Today, our city continues to be welcoming to all. Regardless of race, color, religion, disability, creed, sex, gender identity, and expression, we are all deserving of love and a beer.
We take pride in creating a culture where all our employees feel valued, included, and empowered. Hate is not tolerated on our campus.
Proceeds from our Pride 2021 activities will go to supporting local charities. This year, we have partnered with the Kansas City Center for Inclusion (KCCI) and SAVE, Inc. Both organizations are creating a more cohesive LGBTQIA+ community in the community.
Pride doesn’t end in June. Please join us and supporting LGBTQIA+ plus establishments year-round.
Pride is an undeniably powerful show of love, acceptance, and recognition of our unique qualities. Our ability to celebrate has been made possible by gay activists and allies who have put their lives on the line time and time again in order to educate communities on equality.
From a drag show and rainbow bingo, a Prideful line of merchandise, and crowlers, our Tours and Recreational Center will be highlighting local performers and businesses all month. Proceeds will go to our local charities.
