SALUTE TO THE MONARCHS ⚾
The @nlbmuseumkc is leading a yearlong celebration of the historic first Negro Leagues World Series, in which the Kansas City Monarchs reigned supreme after a 10-game series. We teamed up to make Salute to the Monarchs as an ode to Kansas City’s original champs. In a city known for its champions, the beer honors Kansas City’s first — a title the 1924 Monarchs claimed 100 years ago.
With prominent fruity esters, sweet bready malt and an effervescent mouthfeel, the Belgian-style tripel ale is 9.2% ABV and begins hitting shelves today in Kansas City and select surrounding markets while supplies last.
We’re hosting a Salute to the Monarchs release party on Thursday, 9/12 at the @blvdtoursandrec Tasting Room. Tickets include a 5-oz. pour of the commemorative beer, entertainment, and a toast from president of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Bob Kendrick.
