On November 18, 1989, about 24 hours after John McDonald had loaded the first sold keg of Pale Ale into the back of his pickup truck, Doug Odell loaded a keg of Odell Golden Ale into the back of his pickup truck to sell. Throughout the last 28 years, John and Doug have shared a friendship, calling each other to check in on the other’s brewery, picking the other’s brain on a variety of business decisions, and enjoying a beer every now and again at industry events. The camaraderie continues with other brewery employees, making this a great annual date to raise a glass in celebration of iconic pioneers in craft beer. \nSo join us at Charlie Hooper’s on 11/18 for a Boulevard and Odell tap takeover, birthday inspired games and live screen printed commemorative t-shirts!
