These are strange and trying days. Painful days.

The senseless killing of George Floyd is the latest in a long and shameful string. Our heart goes out to those who suffer, to those who are marginalized and oppressed. Though the content of their character may be without reproach, many of our fellow citizens, Black and Brown, cannot – even now – walk the streets without fear.

America, we are better than this. If our experiment is to succeed – despite the powerful forces determined to divide us – we must be better than this.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be looking deeply into the mirror to identify our own biases and weaknesses, to find opportunities to grow and improve. And we’ll be supporting Color of Change with a $20,000 contribution.
