Regional Market Manager – Mid Atlantic

Duvel Moortgat USA is internationally recognized as a leader in the high-end luxury beer segment. We are currently seeking a Regional Market Manager to oversee the Mid-Atlantic region. The preferred candidate will live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Washington, DC area. Competitive salary, bonus, car allowance, medical/dental, 401k, and other benefits available.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute national sales strategy through effective leadership and management of direct reports.
  • Develop short and long-term, divisional business priorities and identify issues/opportunities across all trade channels.
  • Deliver division shipments, depletion, contribution, and distribution/RoS objectives.
  • Manage divisional spend-to-budget and deliver ROI objectives.
  • Manage and develop customer relationships, ensuring focus and execution against company objectives and provide appropriate feedback and direction based on performance.
  • Develop and execute divisional sales and marketing programming ensuring consistency with company objectives.
  • Deliver execution of strategic brand plans, price positioning, consumer marketing programs, and new product launches.
  • Develop and execute strategic alignment of wholesaler network.
  • Develop effective working relationship with senior distributor management teams driving strategic initiatives “top down”.
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Manage brand projects, brand budgeting; prepare and present branded presentations to external audiences.
  • Analyze performance to address variances and ensure that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Forecast future shipment and depletions trends.
  • Provide management with market intelligence including sales trends, product developments and competitor activity, and recommend strategies to address these trends.
  • Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising, and promotion of malt beverages.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 10 years of sales experience, including team management, managing distributors and retail, managing chain account activities
  • Experience in managing luxury brands or high-end craft and specialty wine, beer, or spirits brands
  • Strong alignment to company culture and values
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently and with limited direction
  • Results oriented and determined in the face of a challenge
  • Ability to manage a team and influence customers to accomplish goals
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with management, peers, and across functions
  • Ability to think strategically and translate ideas into practical execution
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to speak in front of large groups
  • Ability to develop and interpret spend, performance, and financial reports
  • Track record of success in commercial or sales positions managing a team of people and large customers
  • Willingness to travel for up to a week away from home, work out of normal hours, and a good driving record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point

Reporting to the VP of Sales, this position will lead sales strategy, planning and execution for the National Account sales team.
