Market Manager – Iowa

Duvel Moortgat USA is internationally recognized as a leader in the high-end luxury beer segment. We are currently seeking a Market Manager to oversee the Iowa territory. The preferred candidate will live in, or be willing to relocate to the Cedar Rapids area. Competitive salary, bonus, car allowance, medical/dental, 401k, and other benefits available.
  • Develop and execute local sales strategy through effective leadership and management of direct reports.
  • Develop short and long-term, local business priorities and identify issues/opportunities across all trade channels.
  • Deliver local shipments, depletion, contribution, and distribution/RoS objectives.
  • Manage local spend-to-budget and deliver ROI objectives.
  • Manage and develop customer relationships, ensuring focus and execution against company objectives and provide appropriate feedback and direction based on performance.
  • Develop and execute local sales and marketing programming ensuring consistency with company objectives.
  • Deliver execution of strategic brand plans, price positioning, consumer marketing programs, and new product launches.
  • Develop and execute strategic alignment of wholesaler network.
  • Develop effective working relationship with senior distributor management teams driving strategic initiatives “top down”.
  • Manage brand projects, brand budgeting; prepare and present branded presentations to external audiences.
  • Analyze performance to address variances and ensure that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Forecast future shipment and depletions trends.
  • Provide management with market intelligence including sales trends, product developments and competitor activity, and recommend strategies to address these trends.
  • Observe all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising, and promotion of malt beverages.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 3-5 years of sales experience, including team management, managing distributors and retail, managing chain account activities
  • Experience in managing luxury brands or high-end craft and specialty wine, beer, or spirits brands

​Compliance Manager

The Compliance Manager will have responsibility for ensuring regulatory and safety compliance between the US breweries.

  • Manage and execute all necessary communication with TTB, including notices, permit registrations and refiles, NOFL, zoning and reporting.
  • Manage all Federal and State bonds and excise taxes.
  • Oversee and execute, as necessary, on all:
    1. Brand and label registrations with State Alcohol Control Boards
    2. State Wholesaler registrations
    3. State permits and licenses
    4. Sales team Commercial practices and marketing compliance
    5. On-site necessary licensure
    6. State Department of Health filings
    7. FDA facility registrations
    8. State shipment reporting
  • Develop, communicate and execute strategies for obtaining registrations in necessary locations, including timelines and costs for achievement of registrations in line with business objectives.
  • Work with on-site Safety Committees at US breweries to administrate, coordinate, and implement an integrated regulatory compliance and auditing program for OSHA, FDA, USDA, and EPA compliance across all US breweries (currently Kansas City & Cooperstown).
  • Act as regulatory agency point of contact for both Kansas City, MO & Cooperstown, NY locations. Advise on existing and/or proposed policies, procedures, and processes to ensure adherence with industry standards and federal, state, local laws and regulation.
  • Coordinate the delegation of compliance responsibility to business teams and members, formulate key compliance performance metrics, oversee regulatory and compliance initiative and offer objective assessment of risk areas, facilitate monitoring of operational compliance metrics, and identify and develop needed compliance policies and procedures.
  • Work with the on-site Safety Committee members to provide regular review assessments to the Steering Team on OSHA, FDA, USDA, and EPA risk exposure.
  • Coordinate, support, and align the US Compliance Committee(s) activities, in cooperation with local site management.
  • Build, implement and manage the communication strategy for regulatory changes in conjunction with communications team and local management.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in regulatory and compliance activities within the beverage industry
  • Ability to analyze existing processes and identify more efficient ways to accomplish goals and meet customer and client requirements; ability to continuously improve processes through regular assessment and adjustment
  • Ability to manage projects to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria) to establish clear goals and accountabilities. Also includes the ability to develop project plans, allocate resources, identify potential issues/risks and develop contingency plans

Supply Chain Director – USA

The Supply Chain Director leads US supply chain strategy and execution; this includes:
  • Procurement
  • Production planning
  • S&OP process
  • Warehouse management (captive warehouse in KC, third party in NJ)
  • Rough-cut capacity planning and network optimization
  • Continuous improvement projects that span across multiple breweries

The Director will assess current procedures and, when necessary, implement improved processes to streamline the US approach.

  • Establish policies and procedures for US supply chain and ensure compliance. Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production or quality assurance.
  • Lead cross functional process improvement and corrective action teams to support continuous improvement activities
  • Management of efficient keg utilization
  • Oversees inventory management
  • Analyzes sales, inventory and production trends to identify and implement processes that will increase order fill rates, reduce on-hand inventory levels, reduce product age and reduce wasted product or labor
  • Collaborates with Brewmasters to ensure that systems and team members are working effectively to forecast demand for all materials
  • Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends and recommending system improvements
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, business, management of a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • 5+ years’ experience in supply chain and operations management (incl. leadership of S&OP process)
  • 4+ years experience in management or operations consulting (level of project manager)
  • Proficiency with at least one ERP and/or WMS system
  • Expertise in Excel
  • Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
  • Proven leadership, project management, problem solving and team development skills

Ripple Glass – Quality Assurance Technician

Ripple Glass is looking to fill a Quality Assurance Technician/Plant Labor position at our state-of-the-art processing plant in Kansas City, MO.

The successful candidate should be energetic, motivated, and detail-oriented with a desire to learn and grow with our team. Prior experience is helpful but not required. Electrical knowledge and computer skills, including familiarity with MS Excel, are a plus.

This is a full time position. Individuals must be willing to work a 10 hour day/4 day a week schedule including one weekend day. Some overtime may also be required.

Compensation: $14-$15/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
